Centralized broadcast in multihop radio networks

چکیده
We show that for any radio network there exists a schedule of a broadcast whose time is O(D+ log5 n), where D is the diameter and n is the number of nodes. (This result implies an optimal broadcast to networks with D =Ω(log5 n).) We present a centralized randomized polynomial time algorithm that given a network and a source, outputs a schedule for broadcasting the message from the source to the rest of the network. 2003 Elsevier Science (USA). Broadcast Routing in Wireless Ad-Hoc Networks: A Particle Swarm optimization Approach
While routing in multi-hop packet radio networks (static Ad-hoc wireless networks), it is crucial to minimize power consumption since nodes are powered by batteries of limited capacity and it is expensive to recharge the device. This paper studies the problem of broadcast routing in radio networks. Given a network with an identified source node, any broadcast routing is considered as a directed...
متن کاملAMNP: ad hoc multichannel negotiation protocol with broadcast solutions for multi-hop mobile wireless networks
Increasing the capacity of wireless communication is an important and urgent research area, which has attracted more attentions. One of potential solutions is to divide the radio spectrum into several independent radio channels, which can be operated and accessed by all nodes within their radio transmission range simultaneously. Many solutions adopt multiple transceivers to fulfill this goal. H...

Wireless networks have experienced drastic evolutions in the last few years. While many aspects related to “single cell” wireless networks were already resolved, wireless multihop networks still suffer poor performances and limited capacities. This thesis aims at providing acceptable quality of service in terms of throughput and loss ratio to end users in various wireless multihop environments....
متن کاملEnergy-efficient broadcast in multihop cognitive radio networks
Broadcast is an important operation in Cognitive Radio Networks (CRNs). How to achieve broadcast in an energy-efficient way is important since users in CRNs are usually battery-powered. Existing single-channel broadcast mechanisms are not suitable for CRNs because multiple channels can be used in a CRN. Most existing multi-channel broadcast schemes rely on a common control channel (CCC) to supp...
متن کاملA Five-Phase Reervation Protocol (FPRP) for Mobile Ad Hoc Networks
A new single channel, TDMA-based broadcast scheduling protocol, termed the Five-Phase Reservation Protocol (FPRP), is presented for mobile ad hoc networks. The protocol jointly and simultaneously performs the tasks of channel access and node broadcast scheduling. The protocol allows nodes to make reservations within TDMA broadcast schedules. It employs a contention-based mechanism with which no...
